Very often children with autism, sensory processing difficulties, and
ADHD respond well to either weight or pressure. Proprioceptive deep
pressure provides sensory feedback and stability, enhancing tactile and
proprioceptive body awareness, and allowing the child to focus and
concentrate on other more important tasks. The period of time the
pressure is required will be quite different from person to person.
