Our Glow In The Dark toys and resources are all ‘charged’ by exposure to direct light, which is absorbed and stored, then released relatively slowly over a long period of time in the form of a soft glowing green or yellow light.

Our Glow In The Dark products also glow during exposure to UV black light, and some will even glow a completely different colour under UV black light from their natural colour or their colour when glowing in the dark.

A few minutes of charge will produce a better glow than a few seconds, and the glow will be more visible in complete darkness, but it will not cast light in the room.

Our Glow In The Dark shapes store the light during the day (from direct sun light or a minimum 60 watt ceiling light), and then glow during the night, so your ceiling becomes like the ‘sky at night’. Some products glow for a few hours, others longer.

The phosphors used in glow in the dark products are completely safe. Our GID resources are fun and interesting during UV black light work in sensory rooms, to experience in a darkened sensory den, and also can be calming for many children in bedrooms.

BENEFITS: To encourage concentration, focus, visual processing, visual perception, visual input, tracking, increasing hand-eye co-ordination, motor skills and development, tactile awareness, encourage success, calm and distract negative behaviour, open discussion and encourage participation and social skills, and provide visual challenges.
